Saree Care Instructions for  Different Fabrics

  1. Linen

    • Washing: Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Avoid machine washing to preserve the fabric's natural texture.

    • Ironing: Iron while slightly damp on a low heat setting.

    • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Use fabric bags to protect from dust.

  2. Kanchipuram Silk

    • Washing: Dry clean only to preserve the intricate handwork and sheen.

    • Ironing: Iron on a low heat setting, preferably on the reverse side or with a cloth between the saree and iron.

    • Storage: Store in a padded or silk-lined garment bag to prevent creases and damage to the fabric.

  3. Tussar Silk

    • Washing: Dry clean or gently hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent.

    • Ironing: Iron on a low heat setting with a cloth in between to avoid direct contact.

    • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its natural shine.

  4. Organza

    • Washing: Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not wring or twist.
